To insert a citation using the Mendeley plug-in, first select a style from the dropdown menu by clicking on the arrow. Once installed, you’ll need to restart Office and then find the citation controls in the “Add-Ins” tab of the ribbon toolbar in Microsoft Word. You can install the Word plugin from the “Tools” menu in Mendeley Desktop.
The Mendeley citation plugin now works with Microsoft Word 2016 for Mac (and Windows, but that worked already), so you can now, once again, easily generate citations and bibliographies.
